Petit Panier is my studio and shop, set in the Hampshire countryside.
I am Marie Dent, and I founded Petit Panier in 2021 from a love of timeless craftsmanship, sustainable materials and beautifully made objects.
I grew up in France, where weekends were spent wandering village markets with my parents. This early immersion in brocante shaped the way I see, collect and value objects today.
My creative path later led me into design and the art world, working on exhibitions connected to the Saatchi Gallery and François Pinault. This experience deepened my appreciation for visual storytelling, and for how art, texture and scale can shift a mood or hold a memory.
After ten years in London, I moved to the countryside with my husband and our two children. The slower rhythm, space and closeness to nature became central to how I wanted to live and create. Petit Panier grew from that shift.
Today, I design my own collections, from handmade ceramics to wavy trays, and collaborate closely with skilled artisans. Alongside this, I curate brocante finds and vintage art, each chosen for its character and history.
I am drawn to pieces that feel layered and lived in, connected to nature through material, tone and craft. Objects made to be used, treasured and passed on.
